STRIVE Program Outline

The purpose of the Chain of Lakes Rotary STRIVE program is to assist selected Centennial High School juniors and seniors in discovering their own strengths and talents to increase their personal and academic achievement. Students who demonstrate progress will be eligible to apply for scholarships for a college education at a local Community College, Technical College, or other certified educational institution chosen by the students.

Scholarship Awards Based On
  • Improved School Attendance
  • Improved GPA
  • Attitude and Participation
  • Community Service

Qualifications to Receive Awards
  • Maintain or increase classroom and school attendance
  • Maintain STRIVE meeting attendance of 90% or better
  • Demonstrate understanding of the importance of Attitude and Participation
  • Participate in a minimum of 2 hours of Community Service throughout the year

STRIVE COMMITMENT
  • Attend monthly one-hour STRIVE Meetings
  • Report to class on time
  • Actively participate in the learning activities as directed
  • Treat other STRIVE members and mentors with respect and dignity
  • Honor requests of the teacher/mentors
